Sweet Gum leaf

Sun – Large shade trees, upright and somewhat cone shaped when young, spreading with age. Leaves turn purple, yellow or red in fall. Native to low, swampy, bottomlands and stream banks. Requires high and consistent water. Does not tolerate high heat and fruit is hazard and messy. Not good as a street tree.
