Maintenance Account Manager

Overview

The Account Manager (AM) serves as the primary contact for Haynes clients.  They build and
sustain long-term relationships with our clients, focusing on client retention, enhancement sales
and extra billable services while providing oversight for field operations.

Specific Skills
Skills
  • Two years of supervisory experience in the landscape or service industry.
  • Two years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, the landscaping industry, or local marketplace. Ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Must be able to travel in local area.
Responsible For
What you'll do:
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule to perform “site walkthroughs” during formal meetings with clients to ensure quality and service expectations are met.
  • Lead and facilitate or assist in the resolution of client problems or concerns.
  • Proactively present site enhancement ideas to existing customers.
    • Must set goals and expectations at 35% of contract revenue.
    Responsibilities in this role:
  • Ensure renewals of each current account within the customer portfolio.
    • Renewals must be done according to policies and procedures.
      • 90 days out send letter.
      • Follow up immediately to receive.
      • 45 days follow up.
      • Implement new contract with Administration, Accounting and Operations one week prior to renewal.
      • Set up renewal meetings to discuss any changes with the same.
  • Generate referrals from existing client base and communicate with Business Developer.
  • Supervise the field operations.
  • Oversight of job quality and contract integrity.
  • Work with Crew Supervisors to ensure job expectations.
  • Train all new field personnel.
  • Know contract services for each property.
  • Communicate regularly with Operations to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Manage service delivery to specified scope of work.
  • Work with Operations on New job starts of sold jobs.
  • Work with Operations on production of contract jobs.
  • Ensure financial goals met by maintaining acceptable gross margins for both base contract work, enhancement sales and extra billable services.
  • Coordinate consistent and timely site visits with Operations Specialist.
  • Maintain satisfactory Accounts Receivable levels.
    • 45, 60, day follow up on all outstanding receivables.
  • Coordinate with Administration, Accounting, and Operations to ensure databases consistently updated with current client information.
  • Other tasks and duties as needed to fulfill company goals and client satisfaction.

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience in a service industry.
  • Or five years hands-on experience in all fields related to the position.
