Fountain Grass – Purple

Partial Shade – One of the most ornamental grasses in the country – Its burgundy foliage is topped by red-purple plumes. The glossy foliage grows in upright, arching clumps. The flowers emerge in early summer and bloom throughout the summer. In early fall the plumes turn a soft brown and then a straw color with the first hard breeze. Makes a vivid accent in groups or near water.
